Located on a beachfront property of the Jersey Shore, the old Crown Hotel was raised to make way for a 19 unit 6 story condominium residence. In response to the strict zoning regulations predicting the buildings height, massing, view corridors, footprint, and finally beach shadow angle, the design intention was simply the result of a subtractive approach.
